Big Budget vs Low Budget film

Spider Man 3:
is a very high budget film. In fact one of the highest budget films ever made.

These companies are probably three of the most famous production companies in the world so its no wonder that Spider Man 3 is so high budget. Buena Vista has made films like Iron man 3, Toy Story 3, Pirates of the Caribbean and Alice in Wonderland, these are some of the most successful films in the world, Buena Vista generally produces animation and family films. Sony also produce many kids films and animations and with films such as One direction: This is Us and Cloudy with a chance of meatballs being produced by them they are a very successful company. They also produce action and thriller films such as Skyfall. Columbia Pictures produce a lot more adult films, more films that would be rated 15 and above. They produce a lot of comedies such as Grown ups, Step Brothers and Bad Teacher. Although they do produce  films such as the Smurfs which would be targeted at a younger audience. For this i think that Columbia Pictures is the best company as it has a wider variety audience and many successful films

The budget for Spider Man 3 was $258,000,000.

And World Wide it made $890,875,303.

Kidulthood:

Unlike Spider Man three, Kidulthood is a very small budget film. In comparison to Spider Man 3 it doesn't have any fancy animation of special effects, it is just a basic film. The main institutions for Kidulthood are:

Revolver Entertainment

Capelight Pictures

Unlike SpiderMan 3 I hadn't heard of either of these companies. Revolver being a small company from the UK I still hadn't heard of it. Capelight Pictures has produced over 100 films but they are all very small budget and I believe none of them have been released into cinemas other than Kidulthood. Out of the 100 films I had only heard of two of them which was Kidulthood and Spring Breakers, both with the over 18 rating the main audience for capelight pictures is adults and most of there films are thrillers or action films. Like Capelight, Revolver entertainment has produced nearly 200 films, although I was only familiar with one other which is anuvahood, the sequel to kidulthood. Revolver entertainment also mainly targets the adult audience and thriller genre. 

Kidulthood had a tiny budget of £600,000 and only made £454,000 when it was released into cinemas.

Spider Man 3 and Kidulthood are at complete opposite ends of the spectrum film wise. Spider Man had a huge budget in comparison to Kidulthood but managed to triple the budget, where as Kidulthood hardly managed to break even. Spider Man used very successful producing companies where as Kidulthood used pretty much unheard of ones.
