Within our film we have a party scene. Without breaking copyright we need a song that is recent but is remixed by an unsigned DJ to set the house party scene. It was either this or finding a song from the 50's but this would not set the scene of a teenage house party or the modern vibe that our film has. By doing this we searched on YouTube for unsigned DJ's and people that had remixed songs, that we could use for our party scene.
This is what we found:
The two songs are Calvin Harris remix's that have a house party vibe. They have both been published by unsigned DJ's so do not break any copyright rules.

Poster Research
For our film we decided that we would make a poster as a form of advertising the film. To find out what would be best for a poster we did market research looking at other film posters. From this we found several things that helped us to create our poster.
Different styles of fonts for the Titles of our film: Fixation.
To pick the perfect title for our film I looked up different styles of fonts to try and find the perfect one. I also done market research to find out what font other Thriller genre films use for their titles.
Fixation Moodboard
This is our inspirational mood board, this shows what we got our inspiration from, and what sort of things we want our film to include. Such as twitter, the characters and the shed. We also found news reports of simular events, such as someone stalking another person via Twitter.

The typography used for LOL helps to show the audience the genre. By the colours and the style of the font we get a better idea of the genre, because the font is quite plain but also quite pretty in places we get the idea that the film is probably a girly film, such as a rom-com. The main colours used for the titles are blue and pink, this also shows us that the film is probably a rom-com as the blue represents the male and the pink the female. The writing is informal which shows us that the audience is probably teenagers because of the basic font and the fun colours. The main pieces of information are bigger than the other titles this is to draw the audience to them.

The typography used for the titles of stepbrother helps to highlight the genre. The font used is very messy and doesn't look very professional. It looks as though a child as got a pen and written on the screen this shows us that the film probably has some child elements. The main characters names and production companies are in bold to highlight the importance. The titles are in white so that they stand out over the image but are never on for to long so that they do not distract the audience away from what is going on in the background.

The typography used for the genre is fitting, because the font is in red it fits to the horror genre as it represents blood and danger. When the titles disappear they shatter, this could represent the breaking and distraction of the town. The titles are placed in creative places and are in bold so the audience knows they are there and takes notice of them but doesn't distract from the images playing as well.
