Our Opening Sequence

Legally Blonde

Legally Blonde.

Just in the opening sequence of this film the women in it are being over romanticised. The idea of perfect is being over emphaised to put an image in the audiences head. All the time in the background of the opening sequence there is an upbeat pop song playing in the background which effects the mood of the audience, this makes them think that everything is happy. Also the song repeats the word perfect over and over again so this gets into the audiences head.
Not only this but everything seems perfect, all the girls hair and clothes are perfect and the sun is shining. Everyone seems to be friends and everything seems to be happy and perfect. The fact that the sun is shining and the grass is green is the cliche for a perfect day in most films. The designer bags in the girls bedroom show that she is perhaps from an upperclass background, and many people relate money to happiness. The girl characters are being represented as perfect girls. They all have perfect hair, makeup, nails and clothes and all the boys seem to be interested in them. They are all wearing pink or typical girly colours which makes them look like the perfect girly girl.
